'Danger to life' warning issued to South West Scotland as roads could close

Communities are at risk of being cut off by flooding in South West Scotland according to the Met Office.

Weather chiefs have issued a warning for tomorrow until 3pm, meaning public transports could face cancellations and delays.

The Met Office are also warning that power cuts could affect the nation.

A Met Office warning said: "Heavy rain is likely to cause some travel disruption and flooding.

"Homes and businesses are likely to be flooded, causing damage to some buildings.

"Fast flowing or deep floodwater is likely, causing danger to life.

"Delays and some cancellations to train and bus services are likely.

"Spray and flooding probably leading to difficult driving conditions and some road closures.

"A good chance some communities cut off by flooded roads.

"Power cuts and loss of other services to some homes and businesses likely."
