Dancing With The Stars judge Loraine Barry said there was one competitor she would kill for to get on the show – Ryan Tubridy.
The dancing queen said the Late Late Show host would be her No1 choice in all of Ireland when the popular series returns in January.
But if he declined she would love fellow TV and radio presenter Ray D’Arcy to step up to the plate.
The 54-year-old said: “You know people would tune in to watch them.
“But I know it’s the commitment and time that you have to put in which holds people back. They are very busy people.” The Dubliner, who will be back in the hot seat for the fourth series along with Brian Redmond and Julian Benson, said the competitors had not been chosen yet.
But she was hoping Love Islander Maura Higgins could be persuaded, especially as boyfriend Curtis Pritchard is one of the professional dancers.
Loraine said: “I would absolutely love her on the show especially now she is so in the limelight with Curtis.
“But myself and Brian were both saying we think she will be too busy this time round. But why not book her now for the following year?”
Brian revealed Longford beauty Maura, 28, had visited DWTS before where she first caught sight of Curtis.
He added: “Maura knows the show because she has been a brand ambassador for Bellamianta, who are the tanning company for Dancing With The Stars.
“I believe Maura had been out a few times to watch the show and apparently she and Curtis had cast eyes at each other across a busy dance floor years ago.
“She knows the show and being with Curtis she obviously knows what it involves.
“It would be great to have her on but probably not this year. But I’m sure she will be supporting him in the new series so we will wait and see what happens.”
