Dancing With The Stars' Fred Cooke welcomes first child with comedian and podcaster Julie Jay

Irish comedian and Dancing With The Stars contestant Fred Cooke has revealed that his partner Julie Jay has given birth to a baby boy.

Fred has said that both Julie and their newborn baby are"doing fantastic".

Comedian Julie who hosts the Up to 90 podcast and Fred announced earlier this year that they were expecting their first child together, RSVP Live reports.

Fred took to Instagram to reveal that their son was born early this morning as he shared some adorable snaps to mark the occasion.

In the heartwarming post, Fred shared a snap of Julie holding the tiny newborn in her arms while wearing a face covering.

The comedian also posted a snap of himself beaming with pride while holding their son.

And a full family photograph shows Julie cradling their son while laying in a hospital bed as Fred stood next to her.

In the post, Fred revealed that they had called their son Ted Cooke and he also thanked all of the staff at Tralee General Hospital.

He wrote: "Ted Cooke arrived at 3.15am on the 12th September.

"Mom and baby are doing fantastic. Massive thanks to the incredible frontline staff of Tralee General Hospital.

"We’re truly blessed. @juliejaycomedy."

Fans and friends flooded his Instagram with well wishes.

One user said: "What fantastic news!!! Delighted for the three of you, so much fun awaits!! God knows with both of your genes Ted will be a cracker!"

Another added: "OMG FRED! Congrats. You are all beautiful."

A third said: "Picture of pure perfection! Big massive congrats to Mammy and Daddy and a huge Welcome to the World Ted from us all here. Xoxox"

A fourth wrote: "Brilliant news! Looking forward to meeting him."

A final fan commented: "Huge congratulations to you both. Welcome to this crazy world Ted."
