Oasis may have been the headliners at Murrayfield this weekend but a dancing steward is being hailed as the real star of the show.
The Gallagher brothers returned to Scotland for the first time in more than 16 years, drawing huge crowds at the Edinburgh stadium on Friday and Saturday. But for many fans, the lasting memory will be of an elderly steward who sang and swayed her way through the setlist while holding a sign directing concert goers to food, drinks and toilets.
The heartwarming moment was captured on TikTok by user @beckysuthx, who posted the footage with the caption: “Can we find out whose nan this is working at the Oasis concert in Edinburgh?” The clip shows the steward enthusiastically mouthing along to the band’s hits, bopping on the spot and beaming at the crowd.
Fans online have been quick to praise her infectious energy.

“Bless her – she has made my weekend,” one wrote.
Another commented: “She did not stop dancing and joining in with the crowd. She deserves a pay rise immediately.” Others branded her a “hero” and “class – getting paid for it as well”.
The footage comes after a frenzied scramble for tickets left many fans disappointed when shows sold out almost instantly. For the steward however, the best seat in the house came with her shift and a chance to soak up the atmosphere without spending a penny.
She was not the only figure to go viral over the weekend. Another fan caught the attention of Liam Gallagher himself after putting on a dramatic performance of his own during the band’s rendition of Slide Away. The man was filmed spinning with arms wide, tossing his bucket hat into the crowd, and even leaping into the arms of a fellow concert goer. Gallagher reposted the clip on social media, calling it “biblical”.
Oasis play their final Murrayfield date on Tuesday before heading to Dublin.
The Wonderwall hit-makers are set to return to Wembley Stadium on September 7 as part of their comeback tour, following a string of sold out shows at the London venue earlier this summer.
