Dancing Scots pensioner ‘gies it yaldi’ in Glasgow city centre street as shops re-open

A groovy Scots pensioner has been caught on camera dancing in Glasgow city centre as non-essential shops opened up for the first time since December.

The woman jived along to a talented guitar-playing busker as he performed the iconic T. Rex hit I Love to Boogie on Monday morning.

She caught the eye of several passersby on a bustling Argyle Street who all smiled as her funky moves summed up how everyone was feeling with the lockdown restrictions easing.

At the end of the song, the woman received a massive cheer and round of applause from shoppers in the area who had stopped to watch her impressive solo performance.

The busker then states: “People make Glasgow.”

Keen shoppers formed huge queues outside their favourite shops with dozens gathering outside the nearby Primark store.

Many had waited for hours to get their shopping fix as retail businesses and pubs were allowed to open their doors for the first time since December.
