Dancing On Ice: Where are Rufus Hound, Billie Shepherd and Denise Van Outen?

Dancing On Ice 2021 returns tonight [Sunday, January 31] for Musicals Week which is the third instalment of the series.

Sunday's episode will see all of the celebrities skate for the first time in one go after the debut show was split over a fortnight, however, it hasn't been smooth sailing.

Earlier this week Denise Van Outen, who was coupled with Matt Evers, revealed she was quitting the show following a shoulder injury. After falling on the ice, Denise dislocated her shoulder and fractured it in three places, leaving her no choice but to stand down.

Denise is being replaced by Olympic medallist gymnast Amy Tinkler, who will dance with professional Joe Johnson. You can find out more about the new contestant here.

Billie Shepherd will also be absent from the show due to a family bereavement.

The reality television star, who is partnered with professional Mark Hanretty, will be taking a break from the competition and won't be performing on Sunday night.

A spokesperson for Dancing On Ice said: "Sadly due to a family bereavement this week Billie Shepherd is taking a break from the ice and won't be on Sunday's show.

"We look forward to her returning next week and send her all of our love at this sad time."

Rufus Hound and his partner Robin Johnstone will also be absent from the rink as the comedian is still self-isolating after coming into contact with Covid-19.

A spokesperson for ITV said: "Rufus Hound came into contact with someone outside of the show who tested positive for Covid 19.

"This means, following government guidelines, he is currently isolating. We are hoping to welcome him back to the ice soon."
