Dancing on Ice voting figures confirm result was the closest in show's history

Sunday's Dancing on Ice final gave the show its closest result EVER which has further frustrated viewers who were fuming Perri Kiely disn't win.

After two months of skating drama, the latest series of the ITV programme came to a memorable conclusion at the weekend when former Eastenders actor Joe Swash beat Diversity dancer Perri in a shock result.

The pair were level pegging on the leaderboard after their two performances in the finale, with both Joe and Perri and third placed contestant Libby Clegg getting a perfect score of 80/80 from the Dancing on Ice judges.

After Joe and Perri went on to give their interpretation of Torvill and Dean's Bolero, hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby revealed Joe and pro partner Alex Murphy were 2020 champions, with Joe looking more stunned than anyone.

And now voting stats have showed that Joe won by the skin of his teeth, with just one per cent separating him and runner up Perri.

The figures for the third place vote-off were: Joe & Alex: 43.20%, Perri & Vanessa: 41.48% and Libby & Mark: 15.31% and things got even closer when it was down to the final two with Joe & Alex and 50.53% and Perri & Vanessa just behind on 49.47%.

And Perri fans are now even more annoyed that he didn't win, while others want to see the stats for the full series not just the final.

One tweeted: "why have the full voting stats not been released, why just the final vote? We want ALL VOTING PERCENTAGES," and another, screengrabbing a stat from the Dancing on Ice app which shows Perri well ahead, ranted: "So is anyone going to talk about this? The winners received less votes on the app? They were both amazing but it doesn’t add up. Very confused but such a good final either way."
