Dancing On Ice viewers rant over 'shambolic' flaw in latest show

Dancing On Ice fans have had a lot to say following the latest episode.

The ITV show, hosted by Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, was back on Sunday night with a loved-up special.

But even the show's hosts joked about a 'curse' being on the 2021 series as even more couples had to quit or sit out this week.

It was revealed on Sunday morning, hours before the live show was due to start, that Jason Donovan was to miss this week due to back pain and the advice of medical experts to rest.

It came just days after it was announced that Emmerdale star Joe-Warren Plant and pro skater Vanessa Bauer, have had to leave the show following a positive Covid test.

So it was no surprise that fans were left wondering if there was anyone left to compete in DOI following three other unexpected exits and two more from the dreaded skate-off.

This lead to fans discussing a major floor on Sunday night as another couple exited the competition.

We didn't need to lose anyone tonight?! Joe-Warren and Vanessa already went out due to COVID?! Why get rid of somebody else cuz now they’re a couple short? What are you thinking #DancingOnIce," wrote one.

Another said: "By rights, there shouldn't be any skate-off tonight, with Joe-Warren having to drop out & Jason having a back injury #DancingOnIce."

"There shouldn’t have been any skate off this week. they’re dropping like flies and Amy definitely didn’t deserve to go so soon #DancingOnIce," a third agreed.

A fourth added: "The fact there’s even a skate off tonight after another two celebs have dropped out this week is an absolute joke #dancingonice."

"The fact that someone gets voted off tonight despite only 6 skaters managing to skate tonight is shambolic. #DancingOnIce," another fumed.

Olympic gymnast Amy Tinkler sadly left the competition after going up against Lady Leshurr.

Amy was brought in as a reserve two weeks ago when Denise Van Outen had to quit through injury.
