Alex Demetriou’s marriage to a fellow skater is Carlotta Edwards is reportedly "broken beyond repair" after this series of the show - with a friendship with Love Island's sex pot Maura Higgins behind a shadowy figure in the background.
According to sources the close friendship between the pair and their chemistry on the ice was blindingly obvious to all behind the scenes.
Friends of the professional pair, who wed in 2016 after meeting on Disney On Ice, say their relationship has sunk after this year's pairing.
It is believed Carlotta was devastated after becoming concerned last year after he was paired with Pussycat Doll Melody Thornton - but the pair got their marraiage back on track.

A source told The Sun: “It became even more obvious how close she and Alex had become, and rumours really started flying.
"When they were voted off, a lot of people really noticed the cuddle they shared, because they were hugging on the ice for about five minutes."
Although Maura and Alex's friendship has been the focus of unfounded gossip other celebrities haven't got off as scot-free.
Dancing On Ice has been host to a series of romances in the past.
Famously Sylvain Longchambon met Jennifer Metcalfe on the show in 2011, he later dumped her and married his skating partner Corrie actress Samia Ghadie. He dumped the Hollyoaks actress on Christmas day after Samia split from her partner.
Former EastEnders star Sam Attwater married skater Vicky Ogden in 2014 after meeting on the programme in 2010.
