Dancing on Ice stars 'furious as Vanessa Bauer continues to live with boyfriend'

Tensions are reportedly running high behind-the-scenes on Dancing on Ice amid claims pro skater Vanessa Bauer is still living with her boyfriend Rory McCall.

The Sun reports rows have broken out between some of those working on the show over Vanessa's living situation as many were were asked to separate from their families in a bid to reduce the chances of a Covid-19 outbreak.

Many TV shows are asking their teams to form support bubbles with colleagues and reduce their contacts to try to keep the set as safe as possible.

A source told the publication: "Many of us are livid. We have given up our families for months, and she’s carrying on as normal...

"It feels like one rule for some and another for the rest of us."

Another added: "We don’t know who he might come into contact with... It's just not in the spirit of how other people have agreed to behave."

However, an insider told The Mirror there are many pro skaters on the show who are able to travel home to their partners and families all within the rules.

The only pros who aren't able to do so are two married couples, who have agreed to stay apart so they don't mix their show pairings.

Vanessa, 24, is partnered up with Emmerdale star Joe-Warren Plant, 18, and they performed together for the first time on last night's show.

Joe took a nasty tumble during his debut performance, crashing into the ice during his routine with Vanessa.

Afterwards, hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby asked what had gone wrong, and Joe admitted he didn't know.

"I couldn't tell you," he said. "I thought I was doing everything perfectly and I ended up in the floor."

Despite the fall, Joe got the thumbs up from the judges, with John Barrowman declaring the actor has "such ease on the ice", while Jayne Torvill joked the star looked "very relaxed."

Christopher Dean then told him: "You know what? He was smiling when he fell down, and he's still smiling now.

"That's what I loved about that performance."

The Mirror has contacted a representative for Dancing On Ice for comment.
