Dancing On Ice's Torvill and Dean issue apology after making fans 'feel sick'

Dancing on Ice judges Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean have issued an apology to their fans and made a promise to them.

The skating legends are back on the judging panel of the ITV skating competition and they have been re-joined by Ashley Banjo and new judge, Strictly Come Dancing star Oti Mabuse, but they still amaze the audience in the odd performance of their own.

Last week complaints flooded in to Twitter about the dancing show after fans were made to 'feel sick' due to motion sickness from a drone shot.

Viewers said they had to switch off as Torvill and Dean performed to The Beatles Lucy in The Sky due to it making them feel ill.

The professional skaters have since responded to the comments from Dancing On Ice fans.

Taking to social media, the Olympic stars said: "Hello everyone. Apologies for those who felt uncomfortable watching the drone number.

"We have always wanted to push boundaries with skating and technology. A new frontier for us."

They added: "But just to reassure everyone our next routine is back to DOI stationary cameras classic T&D."

Fans were happy with the apology and commented with their support.

J said: "Thank-you for the apology. I've followed you since you started out that was the 1st time I couldn't watch, as the drone pics, made me feel sick. Perhaps you could do the routine again, (minus the drone,) for those of us that couldn't watch. Look forward to your next routine."

Another user said: "You have no need to apologise. It was something very different that I haven’t seen before."

Lilly said: "Apology accepted. Please don't try again, the drone moves too fast and captured from too far a distance, that i could hardly see you guys. From what I could see a beautiful performance from you both."

Dancing On Ice airs Sundays at 6pm on ITV and ITV Hub
