Regan Gascoigne has revealed that dad Paul won't be in the audience to cheer him on in Sunday's Dancing on Ice final.

After being the bookies favourite pretty much from day one, Regan will go for glory alongside pro partner Karina Manta in the finale. The 26-year-old will battle it out against Brendan Cole and Kimberley Wyatt for this year's trophy, with millions of ITV viewers set to tune in from home.

And one of those will be Gazza, as Regan revealed he won't be in the crowd to watch the final in the flesh. The Mirro r reports that Regan has confirmed his mum Sheryl and big sister Bianca will be the only members of his family there to support him on Sunday night.

Before Regan' first performance on Dancing on Ice, his football icon dad appeared in a video with him. Gazza, now 54, "The minute you were born I was proud son," as Regan replied: "As long as I've got your support."

Gazza then told his son: "No doubt when you come on stage I'll be proud," as he choked on his words and admitted: "I'm getting emotional now!" and wiped away tears. Former England international Gazza has been in the studio audience once this series.

He looked visibly moved at the end of Regan's routine as he sat next to Bianca, before going onto flirt with Dancing on Ice host Holly Willoughby, after he'd praised his son, wiping away tears as he did.

At the time of writing, bookies had Gazza's son Regan as the hot favourite to win. Brendan is second in the final odds, with Kimberley in third.
