Dancing On Ice's Michelle Heaton responds after fans' 'frustration' over her exit

Former Liberty X star Michelle Heaton found herself at the bottom of the vote during the second week of Dancing on Ice, but didn't get the chance to try and save her place in the competition with the dreaded skate-off. Instead for one week only Dancing on Ice changed its format, meaning the celebrity's judges' score and public votes were combined and the celebrity with the lowest total score was sent home.

Michelle has taken to her Instagram to tell her fans that she hears their "frustration" and that she is "heartbroken" to be out of the competition, hinting she feels her exit was unfair. The skate-off will return to Dancing on Ice on Sunday, February 5 and for the rest of the competition.

Posting to Instagram, she said: "What a ride...I didn't want it to end. Heartbroken. Though hear me when I say, I am overwhelmed with the support on this platform & others, I hear the frustration...trust me, I am sad too."

The star went on to thank the show for having her and thanked her professional partner Lukasz Rozycki saying his friendship has "meant the world to me and my family". A third said: "I think you were robbed you were so good this week...I think you should have stayed in. You've nothing to be sorry for it's annoying that this week no skate off but next week it's back, that is out of order messing you around."

Dancing on Ice airs on Sundays at 6.25pm on ITV1.
