Dancing On Ice professional skater Matt Evers, has shared a traumatic experience on social media after the black cab he was travelling in was involved in a crash.
The 43-year-old made British TV history when he partnered Steps singer Ian 'H' Watkins in the ITV skating show, to become the first single-sex pairing.
Dancing On Ice has reached the business end of the competition, with the semi-finals being judged live on Sunday evening.
Matt and H were unfortunately knocked out of the competition a few weeks ago, with Matt now taking part in the professionals' group numbers.
He was left a little shaken by the accident on Saturday night but more for the actions of the other drivers involved in the smash.
Taking to Twitter , Matt revealed that his cab driver was left feeling "p***ed off" as the other drivers fled the scene without exchanging details.
Matt wrote: "My Black Cab has just been in an accident. After the collision both parties have driven off. This surely is not standard practice. I’m ok but WTAF.... who do I contact? My driver is to say the least p***ed off."
The skating pro was flooded with suggestions from fans as to what actions he should take, with a number of them saying that he should contact the police.
One fan suggested: "OMG what is wrong with people! Definitely would report it to the police. Hope you're doing OK."
Another was concerned for Matt's wellbeing: "OMG so glad u r ok hope u were still checked over. WTAF indeed as everyone says police and possibly taxi guys office hope they r caught."
Matt has recently spoken out about the effect of Dancing On Ice co-host, Phillip Schofield, coming out and "normalising" the process.
Matt was married to a woman before coming out in his 20s – and says Phil’s brave honesty will help others internally struggling with their sexuality.
“It has to not be a thing to come out,” says Matt.
"There are a lot of people who are struggling with their identity and struggling with their sexuality, and just making it more normal helps people ease into that process."
