Dancing on Ice fans rejoiced on Sunday night as they declared that Faye Brookes finally got the scores she 'deserved.'
The former Coronation Street actress was first up on the rink for prop week, with her and new pro partner Matt Evers having to skate a swing soundtracked routine with golf clubs.
And while judge and Olympic champion Christopher Dean told her the performance "wasn't quite a hole in one," with viewers also picking up on a few stutters, he and fellow skating legend Jayne Torvill both scored her 9, with Ashley Banjo and John Barrowman each giving it 9.5, earning Faye her highest score of the series so far - 37/40.
She was delighted, as were her growing number of fans who have been left annoyed and frustrated with the scores and some of the judges comments towards her since they heaped praise on her after her first skate.
Reacting to the bumper marks, one Dancing on Ice viewer tweeted: "9.5 from Ashley?! Is he okay??? FINALLY!" and another commented: "FINALLY, the judges actually gave Faye and Matt the score they deserved! Such a fantastic skating couple."
A third posted: "FINALLY!!!! Faye getting the scores she deserves!!!! Amazing amazing amazing, that spin at the end was incredible."
Thinks then got even better for Faye when, after she did her 'personal' skate in honour of her brother Jack and his battle with leukaemia, the judges awarded her a perfect score of 40.
However, for all the celebrating, others argued that Faye and Matt were overmarked, with one viewer blasting: "Definitely not a 9.5 performance, she stumbled again and is glued to matt! They’re not scoring her low because she’ll have a tantrum again"
