Dancing on Ice's Faye Brookes has fans concerned she's 'lost her spark' after string of setbacks

Dancing on Ice fans are worried Faye Brookes has lost her spark after she stumbled on the rink in her first performance with her new partner Matt Evers.

Before she even set foot on the ice last month, former Coronation Street actress Faye was the bookies favourite to win and living up to her billing when she and pro partner Hamish Gaman soared to the top of the leaderboard.

Their Black Swan routine in Dance Week put near the top again but they were then left on the verge of tears during Love Week when the judges delivered some rather harsh scores and comments, with John Barrowman telling Faye: "you know you're a better skater than that."

Disaster then struck for Faye and Hamish when, an injury he sustained before their last performance, forced him out of the competition.

Faye is now paired with Matt Evers and the two took to the rink to perform a routine to Pretty Woman on Sunday's Dancing on Ice,with Faye in the guise of Julia Roberts' famous character.

But things didn't go entirely to plan as, while Faye and Matt got an impressive 34.5 from the judges, to put them in third on the leaderboard, she stumbled coming out of a spin.

And her supporters are worried that Faye has 'gone downhill' since week 1.

After Sunday's skate, one tweeted: "oh god what has happened Faye?! the spark from ep 1 has completely gone she was so good at skating on her own why are they choreographing her so badly?"

Thinking exactly the same, another commented: "I feel for Faye so much. Changing partners can't be easy. She's amazing but she has gone downhill since week one. I think the judges have knocked her confidence so much over the weeks"
