Dancing on Ice's Faye Brookes delights fans with new partnership after Hamish exit

Dancing on Ice viewers are getting excited by a 'new couple' who will take to the rink for the first time as the .live shows return on Sunday.

There was no live show last weekend after bosses took the decision to 'pause' the show with contestant numbers dwindling thanks to injuries and positive Covid tests.

Sunday's programme was replaced by best of special 'The Greatest Show on Ice' but cameras are set to roll again in just a few days time, with just five couples now left in the show, following Jason Donovan's departure on Monday night.

As well as celebs like Jason, Denise Van Outen and Billie Faiers having to withdraw due to injury, Dancing on Ice pros have suffered this year too, with Yebin Mok not even making live shows after a horrific training injury Hamish Gaman having to leave the competition last week after a bizarre accident involving a sock.

His celeb skating partner Faye Brookes is staying on the show and in a lineup shakeup has now teamed up with professional Matt Evers, who was coupled with Denise.

And fans are expecting great things from former Coronation Street actress Faye and Matt, who has won the show before with Suzanne Shaw.

The big reveal came after Faye posted a TikTok video of her and Matt on the training rin, which she also shared on Instagram. She captioned it: "We did a thing ... @themattevers. First day in the @dancingonice studio together & we’re on our way into Movie Week."

Faye's followers were quick to react, with one posting: "You 2 will be amazing together I can’t wait love it can’t wait to vote for you both," and another commenting: " You did a thing Faye. you and Matt will finish the competition on a high"

On Tuesday's This Morning, Phillip Schofield, who also presents Dancing on Ice reacted to the lockdown roadmap by saying: "Can you imagine how weird it's going to feel after all we've been through since last March; staying on air, holding on by our fingernails.

"And it's still happening now with Dancing on Ice on Sundays - we're all holding on by our fingernails The incredible crew putting the show on air while they can."
