Dancing On Ice's Brianne Delcourt advised against having more kids after traumatic birth

New mum Brianne Delcourt has been advised by her doctors against having more children following the recent birth of her second baby daughter with husband Kevin Kilbane.

The Dancing On Ice star, 41, welcomed her third daughter, baby Keavy-Anne, last month via C-section.

However, after a difficult pregnancy and an even more difficult birth, doctors have told the skating professional to put off having any more kids.

Brianne and Kevin have now decided to 'press pause' on having more children, and are concentrating on spending time with their daughter, Olivia, who is now 18-months old, and Brianne's daughter Grace, 5, from a previous relationship.

Lifting the lid on the revelation, Brianne told OK! Magazine that her doctor has warned her against having any more c-sections after she welcomed both her daughters with Kevin via c-section surgery.

"The doctor looked at me and said, ‘Please don’t have any more C-sections', Brianne explained.

"She said that after three there’s a lot of damage there. She tried to fix as much as she could and that’s why the surgery with Keavy took a lot longer.

“We’re good with the three girls and we’re just going to press the pause button and enjoy our family. That’s the main thing."

Brianne has also opened up about baby Keavy's difficult birth as she and husband Kevin were riddled with worry and felt 'helpless' moments after she was born.

Baby Keavy struggled to breath and 'helpless' dad Kevin watched in horror as nurses shoved tubes down her throat to help her catch her breath.

Recalling the stressful birth, Brianne explained that she felt as though she was going to pass out.

"Everything went really smoothly until just before the surgery. Kevin came in and all of a sudden I started to get really sweaty and started to see stars and I looked at the doctor and said, ‘I’m going to pass out here. I’m going to go.’

"But they gave me whatever they gave me and I perked up, but the actual surgery took the longest out of my births. With the other two girls it was a 30-minute procedure and then I could hear a cry, but with Keavy it was way over an hour.

"I had a really bad feeling. My obstetrician kept saying, ‘It’s fine, she just doesn’t want to come out'. And then after an hour and 20 minutes, the doctor was like, ‘You’re going to feel a lot of pressure because we’ve got to get her out now.’ And then there was this pop.

"This is quite gruesome but blood had spattered right in our faces and she came out but then we didn’t hear a thing. I’m panicking at this stage and saying to Kevin, ‘OK, talk to me. What’s going on?’”

Brianne gave Kevin instructions to go check on their newborn baby daughter Keavy after nurses took her to help her catch her breath, and former football star Kevin felt 'helpless' as he watched his daughter struggle.

"He didn’t tell me this until after – but there were tubes down her throat as she wasn’t breathing properly," Brianne told.

"And then literally five minutes after that I heard the first cry. It was the most emotional…I could still cry now thinking about it.

"Both Kevin and I just started bawling. It was the cutest little cry – and then they brought her over and she was just beautiful.”

Brianne and Kevin first met on the set of Dancing On Ice in 2019.

Since then, the pair have tied the knot and welcomed two daughters together.
