Dancing on Ice's Alex Schauman forced off show after freak fall in rehearsals and will be replaced

Another Dancing on Ice pro has been forced off the show after a second horror fall in as many weeks.

It's not even been a fortnight since Vanessa Baeur was forced off the ice after a freak fall in rehearsals, when she smashed her face into a wall on the side of the training rink.

Her injuries saw her miss a big group routine that weekend, with celeb partner Perri Kiely having to skate alone and now Joe Swah is having to skate with a replacement partner after his pro skater Alex Schauman took a bad tumble during rehearsals for this Sunday's fourth live show.

Alex Murphy will step into partner Joe on Dancing on Ice this weekend and breaking news of her injury on Instagram, Alex Schauman wrote "I’m absolutely heartbroken to have to announce that I’m not able to perform with @realjoeswashy this Sunday due to a injury that I endured after a freak fall.

"I have missed skating with him terribly this week, he always puts such a big smile on my face.

"I wish him and @almurph18 who is stepping in all the best this upcoming Sunday, I will be there rooting for you and cheering you and everyone else on.

"I also want to give a huge shoutout to the whole DOI family and team who have given me so much love and support this week."

Dancing on Ice has already been at the centre of drama this week over Caprice 'parting ways' with pro skater Hamish Gaman. It has now been revealed she will continue in the competition with new partner Oscar Peter.
