Dancing on Ice result 'conspiracy' as viewers claim Joe Swash won due to links with ITV

Sunday's Dancing on Ice result has been hit by conspiracy claims from angry fans of the show.

No-one was more shocked than Joe Swash himself after the ex-Eastenders actor and professional skating partner Alex Murphy triumphed over hot favourite Perri Kiely, after Libby Clegg bowed out in third place earlier in the final.

The Dancing on Ice result has been slammed by many viewers with some saying Perri was robbed and now, some irate fans have even suggested some foul play, by claiming that Joe's victory is down to the fact that he does presenting work for ITV, while other half Stacey Solomon is a panellist on the channel's talk show Loose Women.

One posted: "So the winner and his partner both work for @ITV and people still think its not fixed?" and another, sharing the same conspiracy theory, tweeted: "Well that was fixed wasn't it. Perri does a backflip and smashes the Bolero. Fits in with ITV as that dopey Joe & his girlfriend are on the payroll. Perri, you were f*****g robbed."

However, there are also plenty of Dancing on Ice fans who are thrilled that Joe won after he made vast improvements with his skating over the course of the series, going from the bottom of the leaderboard to the top.

One tweeted: "So pleased Joe Swash won Dancing on Ice, I was expecting Perri to win because he was brilliant from the beginning but Joe was like Bambi at first so he did really well," and another reacted: "Congrats Joe, you deserved every bit of that win. Yes Perri is brilliant but he is a pro dancer and could obv skate from day 1. You progressed fabulously so don't take notice of the neg comments. Truly deserved."
