She is best known for playing Sally Metcalfe in Coronation Street, and has been on the show for over 30 years, becoming a much loved character in that time.

And she spoke ahead of the show about why she became a contestant at the age of 58.

Sally said: "If you get any opportunity to do anything, just go for it. I still feel like I’m 21 not 58, so I just think you've got to take every opportunity."

One little known fact about Sally is that her daughter is the star of a hit show on Netflix.

Phoebe Dynevor in Bridgerton (LIAM DANIEL/NETFLIX)

Phoebe Dynevor is recognisable to many for having played Daphne Bridgerton in the period drama Bridgerton, which first aired in 2020.

The 26-year-old followed her mum into acting and has become well known for her role in the series.

And she has often been spotted in and around Bristol filming the show.

According to Radio Times, one key location for filming the iconic ballroom scenes was Leigh Court in Bristol, which provided the perfect setting for the Princes Ballroom, the Ingenue Ballroom and the Crawford Ballroom.

And though the drama is set mainly in the capital, the streets of Bath were used to double up as London.

Much of the filming took place around the famous Royal Crescent, which features as the home of the Featheringtons, but other streets in Bath pop up too including Beauford Square, Abbey Green and Bath Street.
