Dancing On Ice final and Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway cancelled this weekend

Two of the most popular television shows on the weekend schedule have both been cancelled this weekend due to conflicts with sports fixtures. Nottingham Forest's FA Cup tie against Liverpool is being show by ITV, meaning the Dancing on Ice final is delayed until next weekend.

Brendan Cole, Kimberly Wyatt and Regan Gascoigne remain in the skating show and will compete to be crowned champions next weekend. ITV's final of the popular ice skating contest was due to air on Sunday, March 20, but ITV will be airing the FA Cup quarter-final between Nottingham Forest and Liverpool, kicking off at 6pm - meaning that Dancing On Ice’s usual 6.30pm start time won’t be possible.

Forest progressed to their first cup quarter-final since 1996 after beating Huddersfield 2-1 at the City Ground. Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway has also been cancelled this weekend in a schedule shake-up. The popular ITV show led by Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly has been axed for this weekend, as the channel broadcast a live rugby match as England take on France in the Six Nations.

Instead of airing Saturday Night Takeaway, ITV will broadcast the rugby match, which kicks off at 8pm. Coverage begins on ITV at 7.15pm, as the two countries battle it out in the final week of the Six Nations.
