Dancing On Ice fans say Matt Richardson's fall was the best moment of the series

Dancing On Ice's final saw the class of 2021 reunited on the rink and there was drama as one of the celeb contestants took a tumble.

Matt Richardson returned alongside professional skating partner Vicky Ogden for a final skate after surviving just one week earlier in the series before being voted off.

But unfortunately he tumbled during a move with Vicky which saw him pull the pro skater through his legs.

Both of them fell on the ice before assuming their finishing positions, with comedian Matt pulling a comical face.

Hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield couldn't hold back their giggles as all the returning skaters from the 13th series finished their brief performances.

"Matt, you had one job!" joked Phil.

And Holly told him to 'put some ice on it.'

Viewers flocked to social media to say it was the 'best' moment of the series, which has been hit by illness and injury.

Matt joined the ITV skating show as a replacement for for comic Rufus Hound who withdrew after testing positive for coronavirus.

"Matt falling after skating for six seconds is seriously the best thing that happened this series," said one fan.

"Matt Richardson for the win, that fall was head and shoulders the best thing that's happened in this series," said another.

Another likened it to the memorable Gemma Collins fall of 2019.

"Thought Matt handled that rather well," another fan admired.

"Aww! It was so lovely seeing all the celebs skate again! I feel so sorry for Matt falling over! I hope they let him do his little bit again!" another viewer sympathised.

"Matt we’re laughing with you not at you," said another.

"10s for the best skate of the night," tweeted another.

And another wrote: "Best thing about this final, that fall."
