Dancing On Ice fans call for old face to make a comeback because it's all 'too nice'

Dancing On Ice viewers have made a call for an old face to make a comeback.

The ITV skating show has only been back for two weeks as a new bunch of celebrities put their dancing skills to the test on the ice.

Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield are back to present the show with Ashley Banjo, John Barrowman, Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean on the judging panel.

But DOI fans want Jason Gardiner to return as it's all 'too nice'.

The controversial star was one of the original judges on Dancing On Ice from 2006 to 2011. He later returned for the eighth series in 2013, but the show was cancelled after its ninth series the following year.

Jason returned as a judge again in 2018 when the competition made a TV comeback before leaving the show for a second time in 2019.

The 49-year-old is reported to have turned his back on the entertainment world and moved to Portugal for a career as en eco-friendly framer.

Following the latest instalment of DOI on Sunday night, one viewer tweeted: "I'm voting to get Jason Gardiner back. #DancingOnIce."

Another demanded: "Bring back Jason Gardiner #DancingOnIce."

"We need Jason gardiner back for some fair scores #DancingOnIce," added a third.

A fourth said: "The scores were too high for week one. Jason Gardiner was controversial but at least his scores usually made sense. A judging panel needs a "villain" type to balance it out. The current panel is all too nice in a way, don't know if this makes sense but yeah... #DancingOnIce."
