Dancing On Ice fans are saying the same thing about Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield - and Phil has responded

Dancing On Ice is still clinging on after being hit by numerous injury and coronavirus blows.

The ITV skating competition has lost four celebrity pairings so far plus two couple's who left following the skate-off.

Earlier this week it was announced that Emmerdale star Joe-Warren Plant and pro skater Vanessa Bauer, have had to leave the show following a positive Covid test.

They were the fourth couple to withdraw from DOI following the departures of celebrities Denise Van Outen and Billie Shephard due to injury and Rufus Hound after testing positive for coronavirus.

Then on Sunday morning (February 15) it was announced that Jason Donovan would not skate during 'love week' due to back pain and being told by medical experts to rest.

So that has lead to fans of the ITV series saying the same thing about the programme's hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield.

"If the contestants keeping dropping at this rate, Holly and Phil will probably win the series. #dancingonice," wrote one.

Another joked: "After the rate of drop outs on this years dancing on ice, I’m fully expecting Holly and Phil to make up the numbers this week.... #dancingonice."

"Will anyone be skating tonight #dancingonice Looks like all the judges and the crew might have to get their skates on. Come on Phil and Holly this could be your moment," a third added.

A fourth said: "With all the people dropping like flies on #dancingonice what we need is @Schofe and Holly to get their skates on to make up the numbers."

While another has suggested something that could be made possible: "Seeing as most of the contestants have left or can’t perform tonight the show will focus on phil and Holly making love ice sculptures."

Phil even made the same joke himself earlier this week with a cheeky dig on Holly's 40th birthday when DOI hilariously mocked up a picture of the This Morning duo on the ice.

Phil had the perfect response, commenting: "If there are any more injuries, we'll have to put into practice when we have been learning."

But now he has responded as he and Holly arrived at the Dancing On Ice studio.

Sharing a socially-distanced selfie on Instragram, Phillip said: "We're still here! Haven't been asked to skate...yet."
