Dancing on Ice Brianne Delcourt quits show to focus on life with former Everton player Kevin Kilbane

Dancing on Ice professional Brianne Delcourt has quit the show to concentrate on her life with former Everton footballer Kevin Kilbane.

Brianne and Kevin were partnered up during the 2019 series and they embarked on a whirlwind romance.

Their feelings for each other were so intense that Kevin proposed to her before the series finale aired.

Opening up to Hello! magazine about why she had decided to leave the show, she said: "It has been a back-and-forth question mark in my mind for some time now.

"The hardest part will be missing my DoI family and I have so much to thank the show for, including introducing me to my absolute soulmate in Kevin.

"I'm 39 – 40 in February – and I've been on the road for so long and as a working mum – a single mum. I really had to work hard for everything on my own. The show has been a huge part of my life and part of Gracie's too."

Brianne first appeared on Dancing On Ice in series 5 in 2010 when she was partnered with Hollyoaks actor Kieron Richardson, reports Mirror Online.

A year later, she and her second partner Sam Attwater clinched the trophy after wowing with their stunning routines.

She went on to be partnered with a number of celebs, including Gareth Gates, Alex Beresford, Matt Lapinskas before she was coupled with her husband-to-be Kevin.

Brianne broke the news of her decision to leave to ITV producers in a meeting a few weeks ago.

She said: "It was quite emotional and they knew I had to do what was right for me, they've been super supportive of my decision."

Brianne and Kevin are planning to wed next year and are hoping to get married in the Irish countryside.

She said: "We're now planning the wedding but for next summer, and 100% we are going to get married in Ireland with a dream castle still on the cards."
