Dancing on Ice bosses 'plotting to axe Jason Gardiner' after furious Gemma Collins feud

Dancing on Ice Jason Gardiner is reportedly facing the axe from the show after his feud with Gemma Collins during the last series turned very heated live on air.

It has been reported that ITV bosses are plotting to get rid of the sharp-tongued judge, 47, over fears that another show could become embroiled in a Jeremy Kyle-style feud.

Producers fear that stars may claim they are being bullied due to Jason's cutting remarks, it has been claimed.

This comes after Jason clashed with diva Gemma, 38, who branded him a bully after he compared her to a fridge.

A source told The Sun : "Bosses have become concerned in light of the axing of The Jeremy Kyle Show, that contestants could have a cause for complaint.

"After the rows with Gemma last year, producers started to make quiet inquiries about potential replacements."

They added that Jason doesn't appear to be aware that the process is taking place.

Mirror Online has contacted Dancing on Ice for comment.

Bosses previously axed Jason for the 2012 series, where he was replaced by Louie Spence. However he returned to the panel the following year.

Jason and Gemma famously became embroiled in a furious row live on air after she accused him of "selling stories" on her.

He later got into hot water after comparing Gemma to a fridge during his appearance on This Morning.

Speaking to Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, they asked him about how he was feeling about Gemma returning to the ice.

"Oh who?" Jason remarked with raised eyebrows.

When they reiterated the 'GC', he said: "I thought that was a refrigerator."

He added: "I don't hold a grudge, I don't really know the woman."
