Dancing on Ice 2023: Start date, line-up and judges

Well-loved ITV show Dancing on Ice is returning to thrill viewers with challenging routines, daring lifts and some funny moments. A new cast of celebrities will be taking to the ice as they compete to be crowned Dancing on Ice champion.

The show is hosted by Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby and in 2023 11 new celebrities will be learning how to ice skate and ice dance like a professional. Dancing on Ice joins a great line-up of TV in January 2023 with Love Island beginning on Monday, January 16 on ITV2 and Happy Valley airing on BBC One, which you can read about here.

Here is everything you need to know about the 2023 series of Dancing on Ice.

When does Dancing on Ice begin?

Dancing on Ice will kick off on Sunday, January 15 at 6.30pm on ITV1. The previous series of the show ran for 10 weeks, with one celebrity being voted off each week.

Who are the Dancing on Ice judges?

Jayne Torvill: One half of the famous ice dancing partnership Torvill and Dean is Jayne Torvill. Previously Jayne and Christopher Dean coached the contestants but in recent series they have swapped to the judging seats. The iconic pair won gold at the 1984 Sarajevo Winter Olympics.

Christopher Dean: Alongside Jayne, Christopher is a Winter Olympic gold medallist winner in ice dancing.

Oti Mabuse: After leaving BBC show Strictly Come Dancing as a professional dancer in 2021 Oti joined the Dancing on the Ice judging panel.

Ashley Banjo: Leader of the dance troupe Diversity, which shot to fame on Britain's Got Talent, Ashley joined the Dancing on Ice judging panel in 2018.

Who is in the Dancing on Ice line-up?

Siva Kaneswaran: Member of boyband The Wanted, Siva will be using his performance skills on the ice. You can read more about the Dancing on Ice line-up here.

Michelle Heaton: Former member of pop group Liberty X Michelle Heaton is taking part in the show. She recently opened up about her struggles with alcohol addiction.

Carley Stenson: Actress and West End star Carley Stenson was the ninth contestant confirmed for Dancing On Ice.

Darren Harriott: Swapping entertaining people with his jokes to his dance moves is comedian Darren Harriott.

Joey Essex: Reality TV star Joey Essex has said he is "so ready" to take part in the show.

The Vivienne: Drag queen and TV personality The Vivienne is joining the Dancing on Ice line-up. Some believe she is Jellyfish in The Masked Singer and you can read all the clues here.

Mollie Gallagher: Swapping the Rovers for the rink is Coronation Street's Mollie Gallagher. She plays Nina on the cobbles.

Nile Wilson: Used to competing is Olympic gymnast Nile Wilson.

Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu: The Love Island winner, who was crowned champion alongside boyfriend Davide Sanclimenti this summer, will be taking to the rink in January.

John Fashanu: The football legend was the second celebrity announced for Dancing On Ice 2023.

Pasty Palmer: The 50-year-old actress, who is best known for her role as Bianca Jackson in EastEnders, was announced as the first contestant on ITV's This Morning.
