Dancing On Ice 2022: Who is Regan Gascoigne and is his dad footballer Paul Gascoigne?

One of the nation's favourite dance shows is returning for its 14th season, in early 2022, with a dazzling list of celebrities who are ready to get their skates on.

Already confirmed for the Dancing On Ice 2022 line-up is Love Island 's Liberty Poole, Corrie 's Sally Dynevor, Paralympian Stef Reid and Happy Mondays star Bez.

And, while you may not be too familiar with Regan Gascoigne, you'll probably be familiar with his older sister Bianca Gascoigne, who has been on Dancing with the Stars in Italy and was also on Celebrity Big Brother in the UK in 2017.

Who is Regan Gascoigne and is his dad footballer Paul Gascoigne?

Regan Gascoigne is 25 years old and was born on February 18, 1995.

He is the son of England football legend Paul Gascoigne. Known as 'Gazza', the sportsman played for Tottenham Hotspur, Middlesbrough, Rangers and the England national squad.

Revealing the news on his Instagram page, Regan said: "The universe moves in mysterious ways!

"I love watching Dancing On Ice every year! I just never thought this would actually happen to me

"I’m nervous, scared but mostly excited all at the same time. Hopefully I can stay on my feet."

While he may not have followed his dad's path, Regan's feet have talents of their own, which are set to come in handy for the competition.

Does Regan Gascoigne have any dancing experience?

Regan Gascoigne is, in fact, a dancer and has performed on stage in productions including The Nutcracker with the English National Ballet.

He is also a singer and featured as a singer with the Urban Voices Collective, and has performed alongside US star Demi Lovato.

The 25-year-old was just six when he discovered his love for performing arts and just two years later, he was enrolled into the Hammond Ballet School.

He then studied Musical Theatre at Tring Park School for the Performing Arts.
