Dancing on Ice 2022 celebrity pairings announced ahead of new series

Now that the Dancing on Ice 2022 contestants have been announced, including Love Islander Liberty Poole and former Strictly Come Dancing professional Brendan Cole, the next question is who will the celebrities learn to skate with?

ITV has been dropping the news of the pairings in a different way this year, with some contestants announcing the news on social media and others revealing their partners on live TV.

The 12 celebrity stars taking part in the popular dancing show were released in October and you can read the full line up here.

So far Brendan Cole, Connor Ball, Liberty Poole, Kimberly Wyatt, Ria Hebden, Sally Dynevor, Stef Reid, Rachel Stevens, and Regan Gascoigne have announced their professional partners on Instagram, and here is what we know. We will continue updating this article when further announcements are made...

Regan Gascoigne and Karina Manta

Son of the famous footballer Paul Gascoigne, dancer Regan Gascoigne will be taking to the ice with his professional partner Karina Manta.

American figure skater Karina competed for Team USA before then moving away from figure skating and joining Cirque Du Soleil.

She then joined the Dancing On Ice team in 2021 and this will be her second year as a professional skater on the show.

Liberty Poole and Joe Johnson

Causing a stir in the Love Island villa this year, Liberty Poole is now competing in Dancing on Ice and her partner will be Joe Johnson.

Joe is also an American figure skater and was a partner to Karina during their professional career. He also made his debut on Dancing on Ice during the last series.

Connor Ball and Alexandra Schauman

Bass guitarist Connor Ball from the boyband The Vamps is partnered with Alexandra Schauman.

Part of Dancing On Ice since 2010, Finnish skater Alexandra has lots of experience teaching celebrities how to skate.

Kimberly Wyatt and Mark Hanretty

Pussycat Doll Kimberly Wyatt will be swapping singing for ice skating as she joins her professional partner Mark Hanretty on the ice.

Scottish professional ice dancer Mark appeared on Dancing On Ice from 2011 to 2013 and again since 2018 and he is a two-time British medallist.

Brendan Cole and Vanessa Bauer

Former competitive Strictly Come Dancing professional Brendan Cole will be trying out a different kind of dancefloor with his professional partner Vanessa Bauer.

Vanessa is a German figure skater and she joined Dancing On Ice in 2017 and has performed on cruise ships during her career.

Lorraine entertainment presenter Ria Hebden announced her professional partner Lukasz Rozycki live on ITV show Lorraine today.

Married to Alexandra, who is partnered with Connor, Lukasz is a professional pair skater from Poland and he has been part of Dancing On Ice since 2011.

Rachel Stevens and Brendyn Hatfield

Another former pop star taking to the ice is Rachel Stevens who was part of the popular pop band S Club 7 and is now a TV presenter.

Brendyn Hatfield joined Dancing On Ice last year and before that performed in Disney on Ice playing Aladdin.

Stef Reid and Andy Buchanan

Track and field Paralympian Stef Reid will be partnering with Andy Buchanan on the ice.

Canadian ice dancer Andy has also starred in Disney On Ice and he specialised in power skating and free skating.

Sally Dynevor and Matt Evers

Coronation Street star Sally Dynevor was the first celebrity confirmed for Dancing On Ice and she will be skating with Matt Evers.
