Get ready to throw those hands in the air and party like its nearly 30 years ago as 90s dance icons QFX are headlining a massive Freedom club night in Newcastle.
Like a number of dance acts of the times like N-Trance and Scooter, QFX had absolutely loads of Geordie fans and were regulars at various night clubs in the city in the mid 90s.
Well now their most well known song, Freedom, is giving its name to a party at the O2 Academy that is celebrating just that, following the end of Covid restrictions last month.

QFX, whose other songs include Everytime You Touch Me and Whiplash, will be joined by special guests for the club night on Saturday, August 21.
They were initially set to take to the stage at the Academy on Westgate Road last year and then again in February this year, but their appearance fell victim to lockdown restrictions brought about by the coronavirus pandemic.
Tickets for QFX at O2 Academy on August 21, hosted by Steve Wraith and Newcastle Legends, are on sale online now from Ticketmaster, priced £17.37.
These all ended on July 19, with clubbers in Newcastle queuing up in their droves to get in nightspots like Digital and Powerhouse to have their first turn on the dancefloor in 17 months.
Since then, the city centre has been packed out every weekend and most week nights as locals and visitors, like stags and hens, revel in their new found freedom.
