Rambert Dance Company has one of the most busily changing repertories in the business and spring brings two London premieres to the Wells. First is Christopher Bruce's Hush, a work originally created for Houston Ballet in 2006 and set to six tracks from the Yo-Yo Ma and Bobby McFerrin album of the same name. Bruce kicks off from the music's mellow, jubilant energy to celebrate the dynamics of family life, embracing both childhood and old age in his characteristically vivid, humane choreography. The middle work, A Linha Curva, gives a major UK platform to Israeli-born, now Dutch-based Itzik Galili. Set on a chequer-board stage, the Latin-inflected choreography is orchestrated into knots of rhythmic pulse and sexual tension, driven by a live percussion score. Completing the programme is a revival of Doug Varone's Scribblings.
