Dance Duo Twist & Pulse announce new McVitie’s and Britain’s Got Talent partnership

Twist and Pulse have announced the new McVitie’s sponsorship of Britain’s Got Talent (BGT) by joining the red carpet launch today with a brand-new original dance routine featuring McVitie’s biscuits and tea at the Palladium in London.

The event comes as McVitie’s announces their headline sponsorship of the hit ITV show, Britain’s Got Talent, now entering its 15th season.

The crowd were delighted to see the pioneers of ‘Streetomedy’ – a mix of street dance and comedy, a phrase coined by the two - perform their latest routine which had them dunking their McVitie’s biscuits into mugs of tea as only they know how – through the acrobatic and funky dance moves that won them the top prize in 2019.

Before winning “Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions”, the South Londoners shot to fame in 2010 for their jaw dropping dance routines and cheeky humour which wowed the BGT judges and viewers all over the world taking them to second place in that years’ competition.

Since their 2010 runner-up performance on BGT, the two best friends have gone on to thrill audiences worldwide with their unique choreography, as well as set up the Twist and Pulse Dance Company, a youth dancing group which also performed on BGT in 2012.

After the Britain’s Got Talent judges posed for photographs, Twist and Pulse bounced their way up and down the red carpet in front of the screaming fans.

During the performance, Twist and Pulse, aka Ashley Glazebrook and Glen Murphy, handed out a range of McVitie’s treats and cups of tea to warm up the adoring crowd in the chilly January weather.

Through the new partnership, fans of McVitie’s and BGT will have the chance to win top prizes through the new Golden Moments campaign that will offer exclusive money can’t buy experiences including VIP tickets to the live BGT Final at Eventim Apollo, Hammersmith, London.

The Golden Moments campaign aims to spread stories of positivity and fun across the nation. Competition details will be available across special BGT branded packs including McVitie’s Chocolate Digestives, Hobnobs and Jaffa Cakes in retailers across the UK from March 7 th , 2022.

Ashley Glazebrook and Glen Murphy of Twist and Pulse said: “It’s great to be back where it all began for us, and this new dance routine was a lot of fun to work on. Dunking your biscuits while dancing is definitely a new trend! BGT helped change our lives and we hope it continues to do so for many others. We're also keen biscuit fans so the performance was certainly one we’d been working on for a while.”

Caroline Hipperson, UK&I CMO at pladis said: “We are absolutely delighted to be the new headline sponsor of Britain’s Got Talent. Two of Britain’s most loved brands, who share in the same message of positivity, fun and indulgence, best enjoyed in the company of others – it’s a perfect fit. We have some brilliant surprises planned throughout the season, so we welcome the good people of Britain to sit back, enjoy their favourite McVitie’s biscuit and watch the show!”

Exclusive Golden Moments packets of McVitie’s Chocolate Digestives, Hobnobs and Jaffa Cakes will be available in major retailers across the UK from March 7th, 2022.
