
Thailand begin their third week of the FIVB Nations League against Bulgaria on Thursday.
The match will take place at Indoor Stadium, Hua Mark, at 6pm and will be shown live on Channel 3HD (33).
Thailand are currently 12th in the 16-team standings after just two wins and four losses from the first two weeks of competition in Poland and Macau. Winless Bulgaria are at the bottom.
Turkey and Dominican Republic, the other two teams in Pool 11, will meet in the opening match at 3pm on Tuesday. The match will be live on Channel 3 Family (13).
Turkey (5-1) top the standings while the Dominican Republic (3-3) are sixth.
Thailand coach Danai Sriwacharamaytakul expected another tough week for his team.
"All the teams coming to Bangkok this week are in great form. But we are also ready and will try to do our best. Hopefully the crowd will give us a lift," said Danai during yesterday's press conference.
Captain and setter Nootsara Tomkom added, "We are playing at home this week so I hope the crowd will give us a boost in every match."
Meanwhile Bulgaria captain Lora Kitipova said the team hope to finally end their losing streak and get their elusive first win of the tournament.
"Our goal this week is to get our first win. We're ready."
Turkey coach Giovanni Guidetti said he's happy to be back in Thailand.
"I'm glad I have a chance to return to Thailand. You have great fans here," said the Italian. "We will try to play our best. Each team this week has different style of play so we will have to be ready."
Captain Kubra Caliskan said, "We have had a great start to the tournament and hopefully we can continue doing that. I'd like to wish every team the best of luck during this week's competition."
Dominican Republic skipper Prisilla Rivera said the team's target is to reach the final six this year.
"We hope to make it to the final six in Nanjing, China, so we will do our best to get there."
