Dana White is trying to put together another big UFC fight card yet again

Stop me if you’ve heard this one before but UFC boss Dana White is trying to put together a big fight card during a global pandemic and all he needs is a place to have the event, which he told ESPN on Tuesday night would be held on May 9th.

Sounds familiar, right? Because it is. This all comes just a week after UFC 249, which was supposed to be this Saturday, was called off last week after smart people jumped in and asked the UFC to stop trying to host events during a global pandemic.

Now White has a new card he’s working on and it includes three championship fights:

Some fighters should be hesitant because I can’t imagine training for a fight is easy to do these days. I also don’t know how safe it is, either.

But here we are again, with White trying to lead the charge of having sports return while we battle the coronavirus.

Where could this fight be held? I don’t think on White’s “Fight Island” that he was talking about last week because I personally don’t think that’s going to be a real thing.

There is Florida, however, which announced this week that WWE was an essential business and could host live matches with no crowds, which is so Florida.

Will this UFC card happen on May 9? My guess is no, but apparently White is going to keep pushing until he’s told just that again.
