Dan Quinn says Kenjon Barner will lead the way for Falcons at kick returner

The Falcons have been searching for their starting kick returner this preseason, but after rookies Marcus Green and Olamide Zaccheaus each fumbled in last week’s preseason matchup with Washington, it seems they have decided to go with the veteran Kenjon Barner.

Barner may be much older than Green and Zaccheaus. However, he has at least proven that he can be an effective returner in the NFL. Last season while playing with the Panthers, Barner averaged 24.4 yards per kick return and has a respectable 23.2 yard average in his career.

Barner hasn’t gotten a ton of work this preseason but averaged 19 yards per kick return with a long of 23 yards against the Dolphins a few weeks ago.
