Dan Quinn says Falcons CB Desmond Trufant still recovering from injured toe

The Falcons were without their No. 1 corner in Week 6 and it showed. Desmond Trufant missed the 34-33 loss to the Cardinals with a toe injury as the secondary was throttled by rookie quarterback Kyler Murray.

This comes just a week after Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson had a career day in a 53-32 win over Atlanta. Going forward, things may not get much better for this team with Trufant’s status still up in the air for Week 7, according to head coach Dan Quinn.

Trufant’s absence is putting more pressure on Isaiah Oliver, which is the last thing the still-developing second-year corner needs. Quinn did say he’d have a better idea about Trufant’s toe injury later in the week.

Check back for the Falcons injury report after Wednesday’s practice.
