Dan Quinn: No bar set with Blank for his return as coach

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. _ Falcons coach Dan Quinn discussed his weekly meeting with owner Arthur Blank and revealed that no bar has been set that he has to clear to save his job.

"No," Quinn said on Monday when asked if a bar had been set. "We talk weekly about the team and about where we are at. We've never gone further than that."

The Falcons were projected to contend for the NFC South title, but were 1-7 over the first eight games of the season. After the eighth game, Blank met with media in the hallways of Mercedes-Benz Stadium and said that the team's senior officials would evaluate the situation.

After the Falcons had their bye week, Quinn moved assistant head coach Raheem Morris from offense to defense and the team has won its last two games, outscoring the Saints and Panthers 55-12.

"I recognized that this is a bottom-line business," Quinn said. "There are consequences when you do well and there are consequences when you don't. But I'd just rather spend all the time getting to where we can play the way we are capable of playing."
