Dan Quinn named 1 of several NFL head coaches on the hot seat for 2019

Falcons coach Dan Quinn has had no reason to be concerned about his job security since he came over from Seattle in 2015. Atlanta has stayed competitive for the most part and even made a run to the Super Bowl under Quinn’s guidance. However, this could be the year that changes.

Quinn will be under a lot of pressure to improve on his team’s record from last season, especially since he will be calling the plays on defense. He has been named one of 12 head coaches around the NFL on the hot seat heading into 2019 by our friends at Touchdown Wire.

“Dan Quinn was so close to having the Super Bowl champion pass as head coach. Then, the roof fell in and the Falcons lost to the Patriots in overtime. Coming off an injury-riddled 7-9 season, Quinn finds himself in need of a strong 2019 to keep a lock on his gig in Atlanta.”

While owner Arthur Blank has disputed rumors of him being “restless” with the state of the franchise, it’s not hard to imagine him wanting to clean house if the Falcons have another disappointing campaign this year.

Barring a rash of injuries like in 2018, Quinn should be able to get 10 wins and a wild card spot out of this group. If he can’t, Blank will have plenty of reason to make changes at the top.
