“Go deep”
That’s it. Sometimes, less is more. And when you are Dan Marino, armed with a video of you throwing a 40-yard rope from BEHIND YOUR BACK, there’s not much else to say.
Marino casually dropped the video on social media this afternoon, reminding us all of just how special of a talent he really was in his prime. With the looming rebuild, it’s always nice to invoke warm and fuzzy feelings from Dolphins fans everywhere who are old enough to remember having seen him play.
Marino, who continues to help the Dolphins’ front office as a Special Advisor, hopefully can play a role in bringing the next quarterback to South Beach with this kind of arm talent. It has certainly been quite a while.
Miami, who picks 13th in this month’s NFL Draft, may get a crack at Ohio State’s Dwayne Haskins, Missouri’s Drew Lock or a later round prospect before looking to double up and draft a potential franchise passer in 2020.
Does anyone happen to know if any of these guys can throw behind their back?
