A number of Manchester United fans have seemingly backed a possible loan exit for Daniel James.
The winger has been heavily linked with a move to long-term admirers Leeds United for the last couple of weeks, having seemingly fallen down the pecking order under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
As things stand, United are believed to be reluctant to let the winger leave in this window, particularly if they fail in their pursuit of Jadon Sancho.
The player himself is also thought to be keen on fighting for his place at Old Trafford, but he nevertheless seems to be firmly on the radar at Elland Road - nearly two years after a move to West Yorkshire sensationally collapsed.
Having been left out of the win over Brighton and Hove Albion, the winger was handed a chance to impress in the rematch with the Seagulls in the League Cup in midweek.
James lasted 69 minutes before being replaced, and once again found himself in the firing line of section of United fans.
Taking to Twitter, one fan said: "Dan James is broken. His best skill is his speed and he never runs at defenders anymore."
Another said James was "a shadow of his former self".
Wales boss Ryan Giggs recently said that James would have to find a way to work through the critics if he is to be a success at United.
After naming James in his latest Wales squad, the Man United legend said: “If you’re at a big club you’re always going to get criticised. It comes with the territory – you have to deal with that."
However, not all fans believe the cricitism of the 22-year old is justified.
