Dan James scored Manchester United's second goal of the night as they comfortably beat LASK 5-0 in the Europa League.
It ended a run of over 25 games without a goal for the Welshman following his initial purple patch at the start of the season.
James scored on his debut against Chelsea and then against Crystal Palace and Southampton .
He concedes that a lack of goals will inevitably affect a forward thinking player but was adamant that he contributes even when he's not finding the back of the net.
He told MUTV: "It always does (affect you when you don't score), but you have got to be head on. The games come thick and fast. Just every game you've got to improve and look back and what you can do more.
"I think as a player I give a lot more than goals, try to create, work hard for the team. Today it was about getting off the mark, and can I capitalise and get more now.
"Maybe I haven’t scored as much as I wanted to recently.
"Got off to a good start, but maybe not been at standards I wanted to be. Thanks to all the coaches and the manager trusting in me and for working with me everyday."
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was extremely impressed with the "high, high quality" goals scored by the visitors.
It effectively seals their progress into the last eight despite LASK still having the return leg at Old Trafford to play.
United are in a rich vein of form and their Norwegian manager was immensely impressed with their showing in Austria.
"“You can say professional, but also a very good job. It wasn’t just professional and efficient, but quality football. We got more or less everything we asked from the boys."
