Dan James and the five players Leeds United are 'tipped to sign' before transfer deadline

The transfer window closes on Tuesday night and after Leeds United looked set for a quiet end, they have been linked to a flurry of business due to deals falling into place elsewhere, thus making players they hold an interest in available.

LeedsLive has analysed SkyBet's latest odds to asses the likelihood of Leeds' securing any of these players.

Daniel James - 11/4

The bookmaker have given odds of 11/4 for Leeds to secure Daniel James - the player Marcelo Bielsa has coveted for some time - who has been made available following Cristano Ronaldo's return to Manchester United.

These odds make it a 26.67% likelihood that Leeds finally sign James. According to SkyBet, they are 2nd favourites behind Brighton & Hove Albion, the club managed by James' former Swansea boss, Graham Potter.

Brighton are 5/2 or 28.52% likely to sign James.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain 18/1

Leeds have been given odds of 18/1 to sign former England international, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

SkyBet have provided odds for many of the division's expected midtable clubs, with Leeds 6th favourites.

Oxlade-Chamberlain has won the Premier League and Champions League and Club World Cup during his time at Liverpool.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles - 20/1

The Whites are also sixth favourites to sign Arsenal midfielder, Maitland-Niles.

Their odds of 20/1 are likely due to the fact that Leeds have been linked to midfielders throughout the summer and the Arsenal player is one of the most high-profile midfielders still looking for a move in the Premier League.

However, Leeds have not shown an obvious interest in him at any stage.

Ross Barkley - 25/1

Another ex-England international midfielder linked to the club is Chelsea's Ross Barkley with odds of 25/1.

He spent last season on loan at Aston Villa, where he impressed in spells but didn't show enough for the club to make his deal permanent.

Leeds have not been linked to Barkley during the window.

Divock Origi - 33/1

Leeds have also been given odds of 33/1 to sign Champions League final goal scorer Divock Origi.

Although they haven't been thought to be searching for a forward during this window - with Patrick Bamford firmly ensconced in the number nine position - the bookmaker has given a probability of 2.94% that the Belgian will pull on the white shirt before the transfer window closes.
