Dan Burn burger to launch at Newcastle restaurants for Carabao Cup final

He's the Newcastle United player with the famous dance moves and now Dan Burn has a burger named after him, right in time for this weekend's Carabao Cup final.

Since he made the switch from Brighton last year, North East born defender Dan has become a huge hit with Magpies fans both on the pitch and off it. As well as his impressive performances for United and his viral dancing, Dan was also spotted at two Sam Fender gigs last year, much to the delight of Geordies who caught a glimpse of him at the Utilita Arena and at the bar at the Seventeen Going Under star's City Hall show.

Dan will be a key player as Newcastle take on Manchester United at Wembley on Sunday, hoping to win the first major bit of silverware in over 50 years. Eddie Howe's men will aim to bounce back from a series of disappointing results in the league, including a 2-0 defeat to Liverpool at St James' Park on Saturday, which was made worse by the fact that keeper Nick Pope was sent off and will now miss the final.

As tens of thousands of NUFC fans descend on London in just a few days time, the city is set to come to a near standstill as others pack out bars to watch the big game. And those left up in the Toon can get into the spirit of things by tucking into a Burn Baby Burn burger.

The latest creation from popular burger aficionados and Newcastle Loves runners up Brack Burger, the dish is made up of a double patty with a homemade Carolina reaper jam base topped with cheddar cheese, garlic mayo and fresh ‘pretty green’ chillis in a toasted brioche bun.

It will be on sale from the Brack Burger branches across Tyneside - Soho Jesmond Osbornes, The Jubilee, Gosforth and Ouseburn Garden - from Thursday to Monday.
