Dan Bongino threatens to quit radio gig over COVID-19 vaccine mandate

Conservative radio host Dan Bongino, given Rush Limbaugh’s time slot as his apparent successor, has already offered an ultimatum to his carrier over their COVID-19 vaccine mandate.

Cumulus Media, which syndicates Bongino’s daily show, announced more than two months ago that all employees, except those who work remotely or have a religious exemption, would be required to have at least one shot of the vaccine by Oct. 11.

That date has now passed and Bongino, who has already been vaccinated, has declared war, calling the mandate “unethical” and “immoral.”

“I’m not going to let this go,” the Queens, New York, native and former NYPD officer said Monday on his show.

“Cumulus is going to have to make a decision with me — if they want to continue this partnership or they don’t. But I’m talking to you on their airwaves. They don’t have to let that happen. And I wouldn’t mind if they didn’t. Because it’s really unfortunate that people with a lower profile than me, who don’t have 300-plus stations, have been summarily either shown the door or been put in really untenable circumstances because they simply want to make a medical decision by themselves.”

A spokesperson for Cumulus did not immediately return a request for comment.

Fox News, which simulcasts Bongino’s show on its streaming service, Fox Nation, and hosts a weekly show from him on Saturday nights, has not mandated vaccines but all employees are required to either disclose their status or get tested daily.
