Dan Bilzerian loses monster cash mountain in seconds after backing Donald 'Cowboy' Cerrone for UFC 246 win over Conor McGregor

One of America's biggest social media star watched a mountain fall away in 40 seconds after backing against Conor McGregor.

Vegas socialite Dan Bilzerian lost "three mortgages" in flash after the Dubliner produced a UFC masterclass beating Donald Cerrone by TKO in the first round.

A video shows a huge mountain of bills, which the star claims he backed on the American.

It's not known exactly how much he put down - but eagle-eyed internet heads have done some maths and estimated it to be in the region of $1 million.

Unfortunately for Bilzerian and Cerrone, the fight instantly looked beyond him and he was on the back foot straight away.

After 40 seconds the ref stepped and declared McGregor the winner.

The result means he's has become the first person in the history of the UFC have recorded knockout wins at featherweight, lightweight and welterweight.

Speaking afterwards, he said: "Anyone of these little mouthy fools can get it.

"All of them, every single one of them. It does not matter.

"I'm back and I'm ready."

He added: "I like this weight division.

"I feel really good, it's good going up and down.

"God willing, I came out of this unscathed. I'm in shape but I don't believe I'm there yet.

"I've got one more to do to get back to where I was.

"I'll party tonight, spend time with my family and then get back in the gym."
