Damon Sheehy-Guiseppi quickly became one of the feel-good stories of the NFL offseason. From talking his way into a tryout with the Browns while being homeless to returning the first punt he ever touched on an NFL field for a spectacular touchdown, Sheehy-Guiseppi captivated the football world.
Alas, his ride hit a bump in the road. The Browns cut the undrafted rookie from Phoenix College on Saturday. He was not signed to the team’s initial practice squad, either.
Sheehy-Guiseppi posted a couple of heartfelt thank yous on his Instagram, including one giving praise to Odell Beckham Jr. for being a positive mentor and cheerleader for him in his NFL quest.
Sheehy-Guiseppi remains unsigned and not on any practice squad as of Sunday night. You can bet the Browns know how to get a hold of the sensational story.
