Damian McCrory believes one key attribute is flowing through Notts County's dressing room

Damian McCrory says there is “massive belief” coursing through Notts County’s dressing room as they moved closer to the National League’s top seven.

The Magpies secured a 2-0 win over AFC Fylde at the weekend to record back to back victories for the first time this season in front of a crowd of more than 9,000 at Meadow Lane.

A stunner from Wes Thomas set Notts on their way in the first half, before McCrory wrapped up the win after the break with a thudding header.

The result left Notts just two points of seventh-placed Barrow with Notts having lost just twice in their last 10 games with Neal Ardley’s side improving every week.

And Irish defender  McCrory says the players are starting to sense that they are beginning to click after a solid start to the campaign.

“I’m happy that we’ve started getting results and hope we can progress from here,” said the Irishman.

“I think we’re starting to really gel now. We know each other’s strengths and it’s showing on the pitch so hopefully the wins keep coming.

“Getting two victories on the bounce is great because we haven’t done that all season.

“There is massive belief within the squad. Everyone came here to get success and that’s what we want to do during the campaign.”
