Evidently irked by the social media response to the new coaching hire of the Portland Trail Blazers, star point guard Damian Lillard has made his feelings known on social media. This in turn has sparked speculation that the All-Star floor general might request a trade — but do the Boston Celtics make sense as a potential destination?
Should Lillard ask out, there will undoubtedly be a slew of teams making calls, and many of them with quite competitive offers. What might alter the picture is whether or not the front office feels any sense of loyalty to the fan-favorite guard to the degree they let it influence where they send him.
What the Blazers hope to get in return is of course also a factor.
