Damian Lillard said back in April he would attempt a half-court shot

It was Dame Time on Thursday night.

Damian Lillard got the Portland Trail Blazers to the NBA’s play-in series against the Memphis Grizzlies thanks to another jaw-dropping performance in the bubble, 42 points in a hard-fought win against the Brooklyn Nets.

It was in that game that the superstar guard hit a shot in which his feet were juuust on the NBA logo that’s at half court in Disney World … and he nailed it. We’ve seen Lillard attempt some extremely long-distance threes in his career — remember where he was shooting from when he took down the Thunder with a game-winner last year? — but this was nuts.

What’s similarly nuts is he warned us this was happening back in April in an interview with Turner’s Ernie Johnson:

He said he didn’t want to “push it that far consistently because that’s just crazy.” Well, he’s doing it. And it is crazy.
